Worship
Parkwood Church gathers for worship on Sundays at 10:00 a.m.
Summer Sundays... Rev. Hurd and family will be on vacation for most of June and July. While he is away we welcome to
our pulpit Rev. Cedric Pettigrew (June 6), Rev. Bob Martin (retired minister from Vankleek Hill, June 13), Rev. Dave Kettle (Chaplain General of the
Canadian Forces, June 20) and Rev. John Fair (June 27 through July 25). Rev. Hurd will return to the pulpit Sunday Aug. 1.
The sermons in audio format should be available on this website, usually within a day or two after each week's service.
Summer Mid-Week Fellowship... Angels & Demons, an audio series by R.C. Sproul. All are welcome to this summer event which
will kick-off with a B.B.Q. and pot luck salads & desserts on Wednesday, July 7 at 6:00 p.m. Following the B.B.Q. Rev. John Fair will be leading the
discussion for the month of July. Children's activities will be supervised during the adult discussion group.
The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper (i.e. Communion) is to be celebrated, God
willing, on the following dates: the first Sunday of March, June, October,
and December at the morning service, and at the evening service on Maundy
Thursday (the evening before Good Friday).
Pastoral Care
The elders of the congregation share with the minister in an organized program
of pastoral care and visitation. To assist the elders we have a Pastoral Care
Team of trained lay people.
Seminars & Courses
Short term courses, seminars, membership courses, workshops, film series on
family life, marriage, lifestyle evangelism, developing one's spirituality,
recognizing one's spiritual gifts, social issues - are offered throughout the
year.
