"Vacant"
James Hurd retired on September 1, 2026 after 40 years in the ministry, the last 25 at Parkwood church.
The pulpit was "declared vacant" as of that date.
The Presbytery of Ottawa appointed Rev. Chris Clarke, minister of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Ottawa as Parkwood's Interim Moderator.
Chris will help us find guest speakers as well as guide us through the process of searching for a new minister.
When Chris was a student at Presbyterian College he did his "in-ministry year" at Barrhaven Presbyterian Church under the supervision of James Hurd.
